About our label stock - (please note: not all sizes are available in all label
stocks).
Tuffcoat White High Gloss
- a paper label with a high gloss finish, water-resistant with mild to moderate water contact such as wet hands or a splash from the sink. This material is the least expensive in terms of cost per label and a great option for projects that are not fully submerged in water but still need some durability in wet or damp conditions.
EXTREME Water-resistant White Gloss Polyester
- a polyester label with a light gloss finish. The polyester label itself is waterproof (impermeable to water). What we print on the label for you, although highly water-resistant, is not considered “waterproof”. This means that the printing withstands water contact very well with minimal to zero bleeding or fading. Depending on what other elements the label is subjected to, you should expect to see some affects from water/elements over time. Customers typically find this material water-resistant enough for bath and body products. This material is a bit more expensive, adding $0.05- $0.15 each to the total label cost. Our customers will agree, this material is the best option for bath and body product companies who require short runs and a durable label. The EXTREME water-resistant polyester is also an excellent choice for special water bottle labels for your wedding or special event.
EXTREME Water-resistant White Matte Polypropylene (BOPP)
- a matte finish label made of Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene. The BOPP label itself is waterproof (impermeable to water). What we print on the label for you, although highly water-resistant, is not considered “waterproof”. This means that the printing withstands water contact very well with minimal to zero bleeding or fading. Depending on what other elements the label is subjected to, you should expect to see some affects over time. Customers typically find this material water-resistant enough for bath and body products and at a lower cost per label than the white gloss polyester. BOPP is also an excellent choice for custom water bottle labels.
EXTREME Water-resistant Clear Polyester
-a clear polyester label exhibiting the same water-resistant properties as the white polyester described above. This material is a bit more expensive, adding $0.05- $0.15 each to the total label cost. This is another good option for bath and body product companies who require short runs and a durable label. PLEASE NOTE: our printing process does not use white ink...any area of your artwork left white will simply be blank on the printed clear label. Clear labels are absolutely not recommended for use on medium to dark colored bottles or containers - you will not be able to see the printing once applied.
Brown Kraft
- a paper label, not water resistant - available in the select sizes, mostly used by our candle making customers who wish to add a country or prim look with their labeling.
Solid black or dark backgrounds such as red may slightly increase the price of
each label.
