Both lines are top-coated to allow the ink from a standard inkjet printer to lock in upon printing. Once the sheet has been printed (at optimal settings) it will not smear when touched with a wet hand or soaked in water. The adhesive on both are of a high quality permanent adhesive. Excellent results with most types of inkjet printers.
The ULTRA line is a slightly higher grade material and recommended by the manufacturer for tougher applications such as bumper stickers, outdoor applications, constant water submersion, etc.
We performed a couple of tests for you using the water-resistant inkjet vinyl labels. We suggest doing your own testing, as each person uses the labels in a unique way - but this will give you an idea of how they perform.

were soaked face down in soapy water for 30 minutes.
The photo below was taken after 30 minutes of direct hot water pressure in a shower.
Please note: black ink sustained through a cold dishwasher for a minimum number of washing, colors will fade. If making name tags for dishes, bottles, sippy cups, etc., we suggest doing your own testing first.
